Pinspired v3 Responsive E-Commerce Website Redesign

Project Overview

Pinspired is the home of the artist known as Pins, who combines his love of food and trainers together with concepts inspired by everyday life. This is the 3rd version of the site undertaken by Media Flare. The previous redesign can be seen here.

As Pins was starting to create a buzz within the art scene, it made sense to redesign the site with his art as the primary focus, as well as portraying his lifestyle with more emphasis on the blog. Having these objectives in mind enabled us to create a purpose driven, clutter-free design. We worked closely with Pins to ensure the look and feel of the site reflected the tone of his artwork, as well as helping enhance his brand.

Another goal was to make the website completely responsive/fluid, adapting to any screen size or device. We opted for a ‘mobile-first’ approach, as this made it easier to establish content heirarchy, as well as ensuring we kept page speeds as fast as possible for smaller devices, where bandwidth is limited.

The main challenges came from maintaining the responsive approach throughout the whole checkout experience, keeping an eye on performance (especially on smaller devices), and ensuring the user experience was catered for every view, as opposed to just making elements fit into any available space. We are happy with how we overcame these challenges.
